I loved Stepsister so when I saw a sneak preview available for Poisened I had to give it a go!
Jennifer Donnelly has a wonderful way of writing strong female characters without forgetting about the more innocent and tender sides of them. Poisened seems to follow the same way as Stepsister in that the story you know is not quiet correct with hidden details and extra information squirreled away within the plot.
The Huntsman, whom this tale seems to focus on with the same intensity as Snow White, or Jennifer's version of her, comes across as an interesting person with lots of depth. I'm looking forward to finding out what actually happened in this snow White retelling and how all the different characters were really.
The queen as well seems very evil but I feel like there is again more than meets the eye
