The central character is Sophie who had lips as red like blood, skin as pale like snow and hair as dark like night. She is in line to become Queen when she comes of age but her cruel stepmother, the Queen Regent orders the Huntsman to kill her in the woods, which he surprisingly does. However, despite being dark, her tale doesn't end there.
I loved how the author gave the Snow White character, Sophie courage, which is not seen in the Disney version but it is in the film versions that have come out recently. I also loved how the character developed because despite being beautiful, she had insecurities. Through her hardships, she found strength to defend herself. I thought the
front cover was stunning and I loved the synopsis. I'll be looking forward to reading more books similar to this by the same author.
