Poison's dark twist on the classical Snow White tale has me taken aback, a route of the plot I had never thought of considering. It's ingenuity has had me truly amazed and gripped to the storyline. The book plunges you into violence from the first chapter and leaves you wanting to know more. Sophie's internal conflict with who she is and what she's meant to be progresses throughout the novel and epitomises the everyday struggle of humanity and self- development.
The writing style I would say is pretty easily readable with a mixture of description and dialogue. Its fast paced rhythm with bouts of action keep the content interesting.
