her skin as soft as new‐fallen snow, her hair as dark as midnight. the juxtaposition between these lines helps us see that the book is going to be a mix of light and dark energy. it helps us understand that both good and bad things are going to happens and wants us to get a feel of it. the end of the taster leaves us on a cliff hanger but it makes us want to read on! there aren’t many clues as to what will happen in the future but we understand which characters play what part and who is most and least important. it is realistic and old fashioned, and uses different events to help us feel closer to the characters. like the runt of the little and the wolf being abused and killed off. at the start you can’t really understand what’s happening but as you read on it gets more understandable and you can eventually tell what’s happening. i liked the start and wouldn’t mind reading on!
