Was a bit confused at the beginning regarding the identity of the narrator.At first glance it seemed to jump between first and third person, but. that soon rights itself. This book seems to be a retelling of the fairytale Snowhite with some added characters and from the point of view of the Huntsman. The small taste of the book has left me intrigued. The narrative flowed well.
The additional characters, the princes, made it interesting as well as in the original book Snowhite was an only child. The Queen appears as cruel as she has every done in any of the retellings. She also seems to be a lot more hands on i.e. going on a hunt etc.
I'd be interested to know whether this would be a stand alone book, or part of a longer series.
All in all, it has intrigued me, and I'd be happy to give the full book a go :) I love reading fantasy series and this seems to fit the bill.
