Poisoned gives an alternative view to the traditional fairytale snow white. Instead, it is told in multiple view, and snow hite is given more of a sinister twist. The character introduction was quite promising. The characters Sophie and Adelaide appeal to me the most. After Sophie is first introduced you see from her perspective of the injustice her stepmother commits against her people. Sophie's kind nature and her kind-heartedness is contrasted by her step mothers cruelty and brutality. People look at Sophie's stepmother in fear while they dismiss her entirely. The introduction the was written in the huntsman perspective was quite ominous and dark, showing that there was much to come. All in all, this novel really excited me and even if I do not receive the book I will most definitely be buying it in the future.
