I really liked this book and the concept of putting a feminist spin to a classic fairy tale that is otherwise lacking in its feminism. The re-writing of the characters of the original story made this book very compelling and interesting - you really have to praise the author for that.
I personally love a book retelling a gold old story people are familiar with because it adds new dimensions to characters that everyone views in a certain way. The author does a really good job in doing this and adding her own original twists to the plot.
I liked the fact that the book did not have the romance as the main focus of the book. The book centered around a girl on a journey finding her heart. The romance was a way in which she could find herself.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fairy tale retellings and interesting characters.
