This is a chilling twist on the well loved children's classic of Snow White, with a young princess, an evil stepmother, and a conflicted Huntsman. It follows the young and stunningly beautiful Sophie, who is about to come of age and inherit her father's throne. However, her stepmother who has, lets say, been keeping it warm, has other plans.

The ingenious thing about this story however, is that it is told from multiple perspectives, including, in my opinion the most intriguing point of view, the Huntsman's. This change in perspective really helps to keep the story fast paced and definitely separates it from other twisted classics.

Having only read the first couple of chapters, I cannot speak for the book as a whole, but from what I have read, this book is perfect for those of you who are into murder, betrayal, and a young girl rising to claim the power that is rightly hers. It fits perfectly into the young adult category of reading, and is a must if you are in search of a different meaning of 'happily ever after!'
