I really liked this book. I must admit at first, I wasn't convinced it would be a brilliant retelling of the Snow White story and thought that it would be over pretty quickly, but I was definitely surprised positively. I thought it was really well-written and an interesting twist on the 'villain' of the story. Talk about going into the dark and twisted side of fairytales! The plot was well laid out and had some great characters that kept you interested with how they developed throughout the story. I really liked the ending and how well it tied the whole story together.
I also really liked the cover and thought it was really well designed. At the back there was a snippet of another book by the same author that seems to follow a similar idea of a fairytale retold in an original way, and I would definitely be interested in reading other books by Jennifer Donnelly.
