I really enjoyed this book as I am a big fan of Snow White and this book captures the original story in such an interesting way. I think the element of the clockwork heart which only has a limited time on it is really fascinating and adds lots of suspense to the book. There is good character development throughout the book because when I reached the end, it felt like I really understood them. The book progresses quickly which is good for me because I can easily get bored and discontinue books but this book I really enjoyed and read until the very end. It is a rather short book for some readers and I found myself finishing the book within two days. I like how the book is structured and I think the book looks really nice displayed on my bookshelf. There are so many retellings of this story but this book is definitely one of my favourites so far, along with the Mirror Mirror film.
