I absolutely love Jennifer Donnelly's books. I had no idea she was coming out with a new book. This small expert made me want to read more of this book. So far it is a different take of the classic snow white fairy tale. I was hooked in the first chapter. I want to know how the characters develop and how this story will end. I really enjoyed seeing a glimpse of the main character, Sophie, and how she interacts so far with other characters in the story. You can see how she is feeling torn about loving and showing kindness to others. She knows that she is supposed to rule as queen and she is told over and over again that she has to be mean and not let people run all over her. It is also interesting to read from the huntsman's point of view. Also in the first chapter just knowing that Sophie dies right there, it makes me want to read the book more because i want to know what happens. Does she come back to life??
