Firstly, I love the cover of this book- I know they say don't judge a book by it's cover but sometimes I just can't help it, it really drew me in and made me want to read it. It also obviously links to the story well, the red apple and the title immediately makes you think of Snow White.
I really loved this retelling, I'm a huge fan of Disney retellings so this was right up my alley, I knew I would love it and I wasn't wrong- I did. I liked Sophie, her character was really interesting to read about, she's about to inherit the throne from her father, but her step mother has other ideas, and wants her gone. She orders a huntsman to kill Sophie, Sophie escapes, and with the help of the dwarves, she learns to fight back to claim her throne.
I like how this book has some classic elements from the original story, but also gives twists to the story, it's definitely darker than the original and I personally really like that.
Overall, it's definitely worth a read!
