i rated it four for the prologue and the last chapter both which draws me in more than then rest. I liked how it was a retelling but offered more than the typical one which has been overdone a lot! I also liked how the book addressed the reader in the last chapter asking us to make our own assumptions as if we were part of the story to come. This is what would make me want to read on more and figure out for myself who the ‘villain’ is. I will say though that in some parts i found it too descriptive but that is down to personal opinion for sometimes i am not in the mood for a lot of description, but in this case it didn’t drag out the chapters too long as they were short and sweet. I also liked how the book didn’t rely on the typical narrative of snow white/similar plot but rather used the tale in its own way in like i said above to encourage the reader to feel excited at the prospect of a new version they must figure out.
