You can see even at the beginning that this is a snow white retelling, but definitely one that has a good own twist to it. I liked the way there was the actual happening and then a skip back to the beginning. It really gives the reader a better insight on the relations of the characters and their possible motives.
I must say that I'm not really sure how the story will go on, but I would like to know more. The cover art looks stunning and therefore I had to read the excerpt. The story wasn't rushed but I would have liked a little more depth but this is only my personal opinion.
I really liked that they was already action and interaction between characters. In some books the interaction come less often and not in the beginning. But here you really can glide in the story. I don't think it is the easiest book to adapt to, but after 50 pages you will definitely know what is going on.
Overall I would say this is a good book for Fantasy and retelling lovers because this book combines these two things.
