I was a bit apprehensive about this book, not really a fairy tale type of girl, to me a fairly good few characters to get to grips with it but towards the middle I was engrossed with all the characters and the story line plot, I quite liked that it sort of followed the fairy tale plot but with a much more modern twist, Sophie the will be queen has quite an adventure out in the dark woods with what will become her life long friends. I was slightly disappointed that she didn’t get her heart back after all she went though to get to it, and it was the most disappointing part of the whole book. But she still got her happily ever after in the end. Overall not one of my favourite books but am glad I read until the end and not give up (which I felt like doing a few times) as I liked the ending and that all was how her world should be, peace and happiness to one and all...
