(SPOILER REVIEW)

Wow. just wow. I was so so impressed with this book, and just like Jennifer Donnelly’s Stepsister, this book very quickly made its way to the my favourite books!

Let’s talk about Sophie - a sweet, kind girl who wouldn’t ever hurt a fly. And her character development?! AMAZING. i feel like she didn’t change too much - her intentions did change. And (Spoiler alert!) i was so happy with the fact that she was willing to sacrifice so much for her people.

And the seven brothers - (Spoiler again!) I wish we had found out more about the eight brother- it’s a shame because Jaspar sounded like a very intriguing character and I imagine him and Sophie would have been good friends.

And the Evil Queen. Her ending was umm i suppose you could say well deserved. At the end of the day, there is no justification for the way she treated everyone but her ending was actually super tragic!!

Will- he seemed lovely and sweet but his shyness did annoy me, and i was surprised at the speed Sophie and him fell in love, especially after the incident with Haakon. but honestly i’m so glad for the both of them.

I was very pleased with the ending, and i have no doubt that sophie will be an amazing queen. in fact she already is. i’d like to see more of Death and his family in the future because wow it seems like they were plotting something pretty big - does that foreshadow JD’s next book?👀
