I usually enjoy feminist books but I felt like this book was really pushing it. It all seemed a little bit excessive when it came to Sophie's interactions with the huntsman. At first, Sophie acted super naive and it felt really annoying to read. What I did like was this fresh perspective of the story, including the different points-of-view and even the personalities of the seven dwarves. I think the book was excellent but the ending kind of ruined it for me.
This is definitely one of those books where the introduction is a bit messy but then the middle is interesting and actually adds a lot to the plot. For those that are fans of romance, I really wouldn't suggest this book. It lacks a lot of emotional depth when it comes to romance and the focus is mostly on the adventure Sophie has throughout the book. I think Stepsister was a lot better, but this one turned out a bit mediocre.
