Poisoned by Jennifer Donnelly is a book I probably wouldn’t have chosen to buy for myself but was interested to win a copy and read. Having enjoyed Netflix Once Upon A Time a few years ago I thought this might be another creative spin and retelling on a classic tale. Published by Hot Key Books it is aimed at a more young adult reader than I am but it is still an enjoyable read for older people for a bit of escapism and the opportunity to think about something else rather than the current chaos in the world. Overall I think this would suit a younger reader or someone who prefers fantasy books but I am grateful for the advance review copy. Fans of the Netflix show would also probably enjoy it. I liked the picture on the front of the book - it is creative but uncluttered and should help it stand out. Thank you to ReadersFirst for my advance review copy!
