I believe this book was a great read so far, but every book is open to improvement. Although, I loved the take on a classic tale and the way that Jenifer Donnelly implemented the connection between the feminism and the way that the typical snow white is depicted. I've read some of Donnelly's other books like "Stepsister" (which is one of my favorite books btw), and I love her forms of telling tales that we usually see through one point of view and are only depicted through the main character's eyes. I enjoy her take on Sophie and the idea the huntsman remains loyal to the queen and her orders. I also enjoyed the way she made Sophie different from Snow-White we think of. Sophie's story arc and character development was something I looked forward to.I love the fact the book was a standalone, I just have a soft spot for them. Overall, I would read this again.
