I sped through the first few chapters so quickly, I was hooked from the get go. I love fairy tale retelling but they can be extremely repetitive and predictable. But, Poison seems to have a unique narrative voice. I am extremely interested in seeing the plot develop. I have never read a retelling from the Huntsmans point of view and I am sure that I will like it. I really enjoy retellings when a darker tone it introduced and the tone in the first few chapters definitely alludes to a darker tone. I hope that the story continues with the mystery, because I love reading those in autumn. I'm not sure if I like Sophie yet but her character seems to be strong and well fleshed out which I did appreciate.
