I’ve previously read Charity Norman’s After the Fall and I have had The Secrets of Strangers on my ‘to read’ list ever since hearing about that! I love her writing style and I think her own very interesting life story (from being born in Uganda, growing up in the north of England, training as a barrister, then moving to New Zealand) ensures her books are varied and gripping.
