The first few chapters of this book give you a lot of background - to the story, to the main characters, it feels like you’re learning a lot that you need to pay attention to because you might end up having to remember it at a later point and connect the gaps. I think stories that tackle things that happen to so many like dementia are really important, so I think the ordinary among the extraordinary with the character who disappeared at the start make for an intriguing plotline to develop.
