I have not heard of the author before, but this book is an absolute page Turner. Right from the start it has you hooked. I found that the author writing about alzheimers was really moving and eye opening, I enjoyed reading about the fantastic scenery of New Zealand, where this book is based. The main character Emily flies back to her family home from England to look after her father, who is a retired doctor, who was recently diagnosed with alzheimers. With the help of his neighbours he has been keen to keep his alzheimers secret for as long as possible, but with worsening problems Emily has to decide wheather to stay and look after him or as her twin siblings want, to put him in a care home. She decides to look after him as nest she can. But this book hasn't finished yet, there are more twists to the plot and it involves the neighbours daughter, who went missing without a trace 25 years ago.
