This is the second book by Charity Norman I've read and I've enjoyed both.

Similarly to Norman's last book, The Secrets of Strangers, Remember Me is another tale of past secrets and the complexity of relationships between people.

The story focuses on Emily who has returned to her family home in New Zealand to care for her elderly father. Emily's visit takes place during the 25 year anniversary of the disappearance of her friend Leah Parata, which brings many memories back to the surface for those within the community. With her father suffering from dementia, Emily has to question whether she can trust her father's memories and the impact of what they might mean.

I thought I knew where this story was going to go for most of the book, and have to admit I was happily wrong with my guess work.

This is a fairly quick read, but an engaging story and one that left me thinking about the choices that were made.
