This first impression was well written, and easy-to-read. It feels like it will be quite a bittersweet tale - you can already sense how Missy is lonely, but doesn't want to burden anyone with her company either. There was a real ring of truth in the writing - this could so easily be a story about an elderly neighbour. I would happily read on to find out if Missy allows herself to make some new friends. I quite like the cover too, it is illustrative of the story...so far...
