The cover is quite pretty, and Missy Carmichael is quite the character. I do feel quite bad for her from the pages I read, and I quickly got attached to this grumpy old lady. I do like reading from the perspectives of old people in books, often it's middle aged people and teens, so this was quite a refreshing extract.
