So, the opening chapter was rather long and cumbersome. Our character who is rather elderly potters about an empty house. ( Her children have left the nest ). Rather a lot of description is given on the mundane thoughts that occupy her daily life and thoughts... and that's as far as I got. I suppose I should have persevered through to the next chapter, but found by then that I could not muster the energy.
