This book grabbed my attention from the first page, a story told from the point of view of a lonely elderly lady who is suffering a post Christmas slump which, lets be honest, aren't we all, especially this year. I think people think that as you get old you feel differently but as this proves we still need the same things, human contact and friendship and this book is charming and thoughtful . It is a lovely read.
