I picked up this book because from the synopsis I thought it sounded pretty similar to A Man Called Ove (which is easily one of my favourite books of all time) so i decided i definitely wanted to give Saving Missy a try! It is such a lovely story of second chances - even at seventy something years of age! This book deals so well with love and loss, it is so bittersweet. I also love the inclusion of the dogs in this book too, I can’t lie! Missy Carmichael is lonely and closed off until the characters of Otis, Angela and Sylvie bring her out of her shell. As her confidence grows, she begins to rebuild relationships she has lost and return colour to her life that she was so greatly deprived of before. I think this was such an incredibly stunning book, that is both funny, touching and heartbreaking all at once. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
