Having read the first few chapters I was not sure whether I would be interested
in the whole book!
I was oh so wrong because as you delve deeper into the book Beth [and especially for a first novel] makes you live the characters and their age one by one and you are enticed to find out how they all mash together.
You are taken through Missy's life both now and then and there is that feeling of wanting to keep finding out what is going to happen next.
There is such an understanding of an older person and their perspective on or in life-from a young writer- and also of the acquaintances that are introduced into the story-and each time you live that character and or moment that is being written about.
I found it hard to put the book down and I read it in four/five hours over two days and now feel lost!
Anyone who loves a good read with great characters and is willing-like me-to be reduced to tears at a story must get this book.
