Well I just absolutely loved this book! I read it in almost a day as I couldn’t put it down and so that’s when I know I enjoyed it.
The book is filled with such emotion and I warmed to Missy straight away. I loved that there were two different eras at times, and understanding Missy’s past was key to the reader knowing why she feels like she does now.
All the characters in the book were really strong and added something to the story. I also absolutely adored Missy’s relationship with Bobby, and it reaffirmed for me the love and companionship a pet (especially a dog!) can provide. I also loved the descriptions of the different seasons throughout the book, they were very atmospheric. The short chapters were good too as they made me just want to keep on reading another one.
Overall, this is a brilliant novel, and one I will be recommending to others. I didn’t want it to end!
