This was such a lovely story. Missy is a very lonely elderly lady. Her husband is gone, her son and grandson live abroad and don't visit often, and she has a very strained relationship with her daughter. She spends her days by herself just trying to do things interesting enough to tell her son about when she emails him.
This story is about Missy's journey in finding new friends, rethinking her life and realising that she is so much more than she ever thought she was. There were a lot of sad parts in this book, but overall I thought it was very warm and uplifting. There were even a few twists that I couldn't have predicted. It was so beautifully written with the narrative switching between present day and Missy's past to help you understand her more. I was so glad to read it and would definitely recommend it to anybody who loves an emotional story.
