This is an lovely read. Emotional and twisting, but with humour and lightness. We follow the story of Missy and the life she has lead that have forced her to become set in her ways, pushing people away and preferring to be alone. She has been prickly and stubborn, and ever so lonely.

After an unexpected turn in her life, Missy faces changes which force her to accept that she is not as alone as she had thought. She has some people in her life that care about her more than she thought possible. This story is very bittersweet and at times heart wrenching, but nonetheless an easy and enjoyable read.

It covers lots of difficult themes but purveys them in a way that is relatable to all and really gives you a sense of empathy with Missy and all she has gone through.

I would recommend this book to anyone in need of an easy read at the end of a long day. Just look out for the plot twists and be prepared to get emotional!
