What a heartwarming book! I went through a range of emotions as we got to know Missy ranging from being mad at her, feeling sorry for her and finally, coming to really liking her! ❤️
We learn about her childhood and also about her life as a young adult. I enjoyed the layout of this book due to some chapters being set in the past and also some read as letters Missy had sent or received from her family members.
Although the book is centred around Missy, I found I really connected with the side characters! Angela and Sylvie are wonderful and I could definitely see myself getting along with them too! Not forgetting Bobby who from everything we read was the cutest and friendliest dog, making a wonderful companion for Missy who was always feeling rather lonely. 🐶
