I really enjoyed this book so much so that I would happily read it again as I think on a second read you could enjoy even more aspects of it. Usually you love a book for the characters but I didn’t find the characters very endearing it was the storyline and the writing style that really compelled me to know about what would happen next and find out more about Missy.
The book really captured the locations and situations, this meant that for the reader they became very vivid places to be absorbed in. I felt very much a ‘fly on the wall’ and a part of the unfolding of the story. Another good measure of a story that stays with you is that feeling that you have been within the pages, having been to the park with Missy and to her home as if the story was also a film you watched. It also left me with a sense that the story could continue and develop more so perhaps in the end the characters did really mean something to me.
