I loved this story and thought it was wonderful from start to finish. Beautifully written, I couldn't put it down. The story follows Missy who is 79 years old and all alone at home and lonely. Missy isn't without family it is just that her family live far from her and her relationships are strained between them. I liked how Missy would reminisce about the past and so we get an idea of why things are the way they are and how stubbon and proud Missy became. At first I didn't warm to Missy but as the story goes on and we learn more about her, you can't help but care for Missy and hope for the best for her. I thought it was so funny at times but also heart breaking and I loved all the other characters, they all brought something to this story and they all help Missy to find a purpose to her life again and help her to make amends with her family. I recommend this story to everyone and especially to those who enjoyed A Man Called Ove.
