I loved this book, so much! I was a big fan of Eleanor Oliphant, so I was very excited when I got this book to read. It's a story about someone feeling lonely and isolated, but a chance encounter with some wonderfully caring people changed her life for the better. Despite her resistance along the way, she realises that she needs to let people into her life again. In embracing the new friendships, she feels herself changing, becoming happier, less lonely and knowing there are people out there who truly care about her. Seeing Missy open up her life, her character development, it was just so beautifully written!
It truly shows how the smallest act of kindness can have a huge impact on someone's life, even if you don't realise it! I only give it 4* because for me there were a few pages where I felt a bit of a lull, but those were greatly overshadowed by the entirety of the rest of the book! I honestly really recommend this to everyone, it's truly fantastic and I closed the book and just felt happy, I still find myself contemplating Missy and her Friends after the book ended!
