I saw many reviews for this book before reading it and I was very intrigued to see what it was like.
It follows the story of Missy who we discover is very lonely. Her family aren’t around, she doesn’t have friends or indeed much contact of any sort. As we discover more about Missy and her circumstances we discover how she has found herself in her current situation.
The book has tones of sadness and heartbreak but also many laugh out loud moments. It’s a beautiful example of how a smile or a kind word can change the whole course of someone’s existence.
I really enjoyed reading this book and found the author’s writing style particularly endearing. The story was well crafted and really made you think about what goes on behind closed doors and all the things that are unsaid. I’d happily gift this book and recommend to friends and family. Lovely
