I loved the cover of this book and couldn't wait to read it. I was not disappointed as this book is just a lovely read. The story is about a year in the life of Missy the main character and over the course of the year her attitudes towards her family, her friends and relationships all start to change and for the better! I felt the story was really appropriate in the current climate with people spending more time looking at relationships and what means more..thought or money. I loved the cast of characters and liked the way the novel jumped back and forth through time, I wanted to jump to the next section in that era! Sometimes I got a little lost but didn't feel this detracted from the story at alI. This is definitely a feel good book! I really liked Morrey's writing style and could not believe that this was her debut novel. I cannot wait to read more from her.
