Thank you Readers First for the opportunity to read Saving Missy prior to it’s paperback publication. This book had been on my wish list since reading reviews of the hardback version so I was delighted to win a copy!

Missy is sad and lonely, at 78 she feels her life is already over so makes no effort to make new friends or learn new things. A chance encounter over some electrocuted fish with a brash thirty something Mum and her older friend set the wheels in motion for Missy to discover that, even at her age, it’s never too late for new friendships, righting past wrongs and letting go of regrets and mistakes of years gone by.

Missy definitely doesn’t want or need to look after the dog as a favour to the new friend she isn’t even sure she needs or indeed, likes very much but in doing so the dog and her newly acquired friends turn her world up side down in so many great ways and bring about positive changes in abundance.

I loved this book :)
