Lovely story of redemption and reaffirmation of human kindness

A chance encounter and keeling over in a park that leads to many unexpected relationships and encounters. A lovely heart warming story about Missy who thought she had lost herself forever to the past and resigned herself to being a lonely bitter old woman. I found this story really nice and a very easy read that had lots of relatable characters and personalities. I loved Bob and her presence in this story truely was the start of missy’s new life with her new friends. I liked the fact that the author took us through the changing seasons and with the seasons the world moved a little and another twist in the plot was revealed. I was sad at her demise and really felt for Missy who was going to lose her one way or another and desperately hinged lots of her happiness on the dog which was heartbreaking. A lovely debut novel that could easily have a sequel.
