Missy is lonely and is struggling with loss in her life at the age of 79. A chance meeting with several people in the local park opens up a new life for her.
This story rotates between modern time and the story of her life with her husband Leo.
This story is beautifully told and the characters are so visual that you miss them when you have finished the book. In fact you miss reading the book when you have finished it as you can lose yourself in this story.
One of the loveliest characters is Bobby the dog who opens Missy up to so many friendships.
Themes of love, loss, grief, love and friendship are so beautifully portrayed in the book through the characters and the story.
