From the small section that i have read from the book, it is clear that the story focuses on deep themes of loneliness. The 80 year old character has clearly been portrayed as a lonely elderly wasting her life, hidden away in her home. The book reflects on her background and how she sacrificed her dreams jobs etc for her family. It creates a very somber feel to the story and inspires her to get out and add more adventure to her lifestyle. Befriending people from her local area enables her to focus on her dreams and build on her happiness. Over time, she becomes a changed woman and freely reflects on her past without feeling any regrets. This is an extremely inspiring story that gives hope to any readers that can relate to her feelings of loneliness. It pushed me as a reader to acknowledge the positives in my life. I feel that it would be a good read for any age and would impact anyone needing change in their life.
