Seventy-nine year old Missy is lonely and has lost her sense of hope and enjoyment in life. After an unexpected encounter at a fish stunning, Missy meets Angela, Sylvie and her much loved son, Otis. Their friendship begins to develop from there, and with the help of her beloved foster dog Bobby, Missy finally learns to be happy and enjoy the company of others once again.

I loved this book and I was enticed by the wholesome story line and the realistic representation of the relationships between the different characters. I also respect the messages behind the book about second chances and not judging others prematurely. I think Missy's character growth is inspirational and shows the reader that it is never too late to find happiness and improve yourself for the better.

In conclusion I thought this was a great read and I would definitely recommend it to others.
