A wonderfully witty and refreshing story, intricately written and it’s one of those books where the cover enticed me and was a good reflection of the content. The writing style appeals to me, light and airy with a distinct journey set out from the get go. The characters are easy to become emotionally attached to and the plot is not predictable either. Writing a character of age is always a winner with me as I feel so few books and scripts are written with an older character at the helm. It’s a brave, bold and unique choice. The genre isn’t normally my go to but I’m pleased I stuck with it. I’m keen to see more from the writer and I feel that this book could easily lend itself to a sequel or two as well. I rarely picture a book as a film but the descriptive language and engaging story make for perfect movie potential. A real gem of a book that comes highly recommded.
