This was a really interesting book because I enjoyed it but didn't like the main character very much at all! I found Missy really hard to get on with, particularly with her decision making but I suppose that's kind of the point. The plot twist did really surprise me, I wasn't expecting one in a book like this and it definitely tugs at the heart strings.
I think the main messages of the book- that it's never too late for second chances and fresh starts is really poignant. The side characters such as Sylvie, Angela and Bobby were all lovely and such a contrast to Missy herself.
I did enjoy this book but i don't think it was anything particularly special or memorable. it was definitely different to other books I've read and it's nice to read a contemporary that doesn't feature a major romantic plotline. Thank you to Tandem for sending me a free copy to read and review
