From the turn of the very first page through to the final sentence I thoroughly enjoyed joining Missy, watching her grow, and being part of her world. It was easy to join her on her journey as her own circle of friends evolved which included the loving dog, Bob. We all have our own ghosts, people we remember with love and those with whom the relationships were not so easy... Missy is at a point in her life where the ghosts were outnumbering her friends and relatives in the living world. She learns and is helped along the way to find a new balance. The story resonated with me and I'm sure a lot of readers will find parts of it with which they can identify. It is written in an easy-going manner which is quick to read but forms a lasting impression. It is full of observations of the now and of the past, many of which made me chuckle and think 'yes...I can remember that'. I would thoroughly recommend.
