Once in a while you get a book that you know will stay with you for a long time to come, this is one of those books. Beautifully written it follows the story of Missy a 79 year old woman who is on her own, she has pushed away everyone who was close to her. A walk in the park introduces her to some people who could possibly change that, well that's if she has the guts to take a leap of faith. This is a book that shows that its really never too late for a second chance. It shows how friendships can happen anywhere, and when we least expect them. The fact we are all sometimes scared of leaving our comfort zone is tackled Beautifully in this amazing story. The author Beautifully weaves in and out of Missy's past and present to show us how she came to be where she is, something that not many authors can do well, Beth blows it out of the water.This book will have you smiling, laughing, and at times crying your heart out. It's a book I wish I could read again for the first time it's that beautiful. If you pick one new author to read this year I recommend beth morrey and I know you really won't be disappointed.
