I have just had the fantastic opportunity to read this book. I really enjoyed having an insight on Missy's life. The book is cleverly written in parts going back to the past and the present. It is easy to understand, as the chapters make the connection flow in a logical way.
For me, it is as if I could think of a future life that may happen when you get older. However, it is easily changed, as the author cleverly writes, giving yourself an opportunity to find happiness and escape a lonely future. I am just not so sure about the dog, in my case...but, what lovely things that can happen when you are open to changes and allow people into your own, otherwise, lonely existence.
It is the type of story that you will always remember and for sure, take some lessons and try to change. Undoubtedly, the changes are possible and you are the one person that has the power to transform your life.
