A literary thriller that focuses on the cost of crime to society.

Whilst the premise interested me, it was reading the opening extract which increased my enthusiasm for this novel wholeheartedly. On the strength of the opening few chapters provided, Shadow Man, looks to be a rather literary and somewhat atypical thriller in that the major point of interest is how crime affects a society and the individuals whose lives in touches. At the end of thre day it is this cost to humanity that is behind my interest in crime fiction and I prefer slow and steady character development over high octane car chases, hence if looks like Alan Drew’s novel fits the bill!
